Extended-Duty Lift Tables
For high-cycle applications, Presto Lifts has introduced its “Super Cycle” option for many of its most popular lift tables. Normal lifts are typically designed for approximately 50,000 cycles between maintenance. The Super Cycle option extends this to 200,000 cycles. The increase is achieved by modifying several key lift components to be regreasable, allowing for preventative maintenance and extended life. Welded cold-rolled-steel wear strips are also added to Super Cycle lifts. The option is available on standard lifts as well as wide-base units with capacities ranging from 2,000 pounds to 6,000 pounds. — Presto Lifts Inc., 21 Park St., Attleboro, Mass., 02703, phone: (508) 222-0177, fax: (508) 222-2996, e-mail: info@prestolifts.com, Web site: www.prestolifts.com/72
Case and Pail Robotic Palletizers
Columbia/Okura robotic palletizers are capable of handling both cases and pails without the need to change tooling. Equipped with a versatile end effector, the robot uses a flexible vacuum-grip system to adapt to a variety of pail and case sizes. The palletizers’ small footprint makes them easy to integrate into existing production areas where a single machine can handle up to four production lines simultaneously. The units are energy efficient and feature touch-screen interfaces for user-friendly pattern programming and easy operation. They include built-in diagnostics and fewer moving parts to ensure reliability, low maintenance and reduced overall machine wear.— Columbia Okura LLC, 301 Grove St., Suite A, Vancouver, Wash., 98661, phone: (360) 735-1952, fax: (360) 905-1707, e-mail: pallsales@colmac.com, Web site: www.columbiaokura.com
Low-Capacity Plate Condenser
Alfa Laval’s AlfaCond 400, a lower-capacity model of the company’s AlfaCond purpose-built plate condenser, was developed specifically for condensing vapors under low-pressure, high-vacuum conditions in evaporation and distillation systems. The AlfaCond 400, which completes the AlfaCond range, is ideal for smaller capacities in applications such as turbine condensers in small co-generation plants, distillation systems and evaporation and crystallization systems in sweetener plants, sugar mills, starch and ethanol plants, and the chemical and food industries. The AlfaCond 400, based on the plate-and-frame heat exchanger concept, is ideal as an alternative to shell-and-tube heat exchangers and barometric condensers. — Alfa Laval Inc., 5400 International Trade Drive, Richmond, Va., 23231, phone: (804) 236-1373, Web site: www.alfalaval.us
Washdown-Proof Checkweigher
Hi-Speed has introduced X-series, its new timesaving, IP 69K-compliant, no-tools-required checkweigher. X-series is ideal for products that are wet, sticky or abrasive. The new design features smooth contours, a highly visible 15-inch user interface proven to withstand very harsh environments, and a controller that seamlessly integrates multiple inspection functions. The X-series can be sanitized quickly and allows a single operator to monitor multiple lines. — Mettler-Toledo Hi-Speed Inc., 5 Barr Road, Ithaca, N.Y., 14850, phone: (607) 257-6000, fax: (607) 257-6396, e-mail: hispeed@mt.com, Web site: www.hispeedcheckweigher.com

The DPM 1/2-pint mixer is supplied complete with features such as vacuum, a sight/charge port, light, jacketed mix vessel and a thermocouple to sense batch temperature. A complete control panel is also provided and includes a frequency inverter to control blade speeds, a batch cycle timer and temperature indication. All parts coming into contact with the product being mixed are constructed of type 316 stainless steel and are polished to enable easy cleaning between batches. — Ross, P.O. Box 12308, Hauppauge, N.Y., 11788, phone: (631) 234-0500, fax: (631) 234-0691, e-mail: sales@mixers.com, Web site: www.planetarymixers.com
Differential Pressure Transducer
Setra has introduced its Model 235 Wet-to-Wet, high line, differential pressure transducer. The Model 235 is designed for differential pressure measurement of liquids, including dairy, or gases in applications with high line pressures up to 2,500 psig. Its excellent performance, typically found in much more expensive differential pressure transducers, is achieved through Setra’s new patented, inductive sensing technology. Containing no liquid filled diaphragm, thus eliminating the possibility of batch contamination and thermal transient errors, the Model 235 wetted parts exposed to media are stainless steel, alumina ceramic and glass. — Setra Systems Inc., 159 Swanson Road, Boxborough, Mass., 01719, (800) 257-3872, fax: (978) 264-0292, e-mail: sales@setra.com, Web site: www.setra.com
Stainless-Steel Hardware
Johnson Refrigerated Truck bodies offer stainless-steel cam lock hardware with superior strength and a longer usable life than chrome or powder-coated hardware. Stainless hardware is an option for new truck bodies or can be used to replace rusted hardware on older truck bodies. The cam lock hardware has stainless-steel set screws and take-up adjustment, which increase or decrease door gasket pressure. The use of nylon bushings at wear points increases hardware longevity. — Johnson Refrigerated Truck Bodies, 215 E. Allen St., Rice Lake, Wis., 54868, phone: (715) 234-7071, fax: (715) 234-4628, Web site: www.johnsontruckbodies.com
Remote Operator
The Flexi-Drive by Smith Flow Control is a cable-driven remote operator for valves in inaccessible or hazardous locations. It can transmit drive to valves as far as 200 feet away, accommodating 540 degrees of bends in the cable run. The Flexi-Drive consists of an operator station with a geared handwheel and mounting facility, a valve station actuator and a unique, patented continuous loop helix drive cable. Due to the properties of the strong, flexible steel cable, turning the handwheel of the operator station simultaneously operates the valve actuator. The cable allows high valve operating torque to be transferred through tunnels, walls, bulkheads, sewers, floors or any other obstacles between the handwheel and valve. Suitable for any size or type of valve, regardless of torque or turn requirements, the Flexi-Drive is available in a range of reduction ratios, including 4:1, 2:1 and 1:1, with no danger of delivering over-torque. — Smith Flow Control, 21 Kenton Lands Road, Erlanger, Ky., 41018, phone: (859) 578-2395, fax: (859) 341-2302, e-mail: sales@smithflow.com, Web site: www.smithflowcontrol.com
