4th International Whey Conference

“The International Whey Conference (IWC) has announced a cutting-edge program that will firmly establish whey protein as a superior protein source,” says Jim Page, co-chairman of IWC 2005. The conference, held every four years in collaboration with the European Whey Products Association, will be held this year in Chicago from September 11 to 14, and will showcase the health and nutritional benefits of whey protein. Exciting new consumer applications will also be introduced. “If you are interested in the latest research about whey proteins as an excellent protein source,” Page says, “don’t miss this conference.” Attendees will learn more about the health and nutritional benefits of whey, new whey-product enhanced applications that create consumer demand, whey’s role in improved product functionality and state-of-the-art whey processing techniques. “IWC will be of great interest to consumer goods marketers in the European food industry,” says Dr. Joop Kleibeuker, secretary general of European Whey Products Association. “Better understanding of the positive health benefits and the high quality of whey protein among consumers will mean tremendous growth opportunity for the whey and dairy industry.”
