Hydrite Chemical Co. purchased Choice Chemical Inc. in Visalia, California. The acquisition, finalized on July 15, 2011, will bring together two respected names in the chemical industry to benefit both companies' customers. The new prime location in north central California expands the geographical reach so that customers can be better served. It will also allow them to expand their product offerings in the dairy, food and beverage industries. By combining resources, Hydrite Chemical Co. will lead the industry into innovative products and better their logistics.

Danisco received Nutrition Business Journal's Scientific Achievement Award at the 14th Annual NBJ Summit held in Dana Point, Calif. NBJ granted the award for Danisco's commitment to developing probiotics based on sound science. Scott Bush, vice president of marketing for Danisco Health and Nutrition, accepted the award on the company's behalf.

Delkor hired Mike Wilcox and Fred Green. As Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Aftermarket Sevices, Wilcox brings over 25 years of domestic and international sales and marketing experience in packaging. As Vice President of Operations, Green brings senior management experience in manufacturing and Engineering.
Allen Flavors added Mike Kelly to its sales team. He has 13 years experience in the flavor, beverage and related industries.

President's Address --2020 Vision

They say hindsight is 20/20, but IDFA President and CEO Connie Tipton is turning that old adage on its head. She plans to look forward to the next five years with a focused vision on important changes ahead for the dairy industry. In her address Tipton will challenge industry leaders to be willing to shake things up. She will unveil plans to ramp up IDFA activities during the run up to 2020.
