New technology unveiled at Drinktec, Munich, Germany, included the OneTech2 Combo beverage multiple packaging equipment from MeadWestvaco.

The packager offers greater flexibility and lower plant footprint than competitor machine, and is highly versatile and optimized to run a wide range of primary containers, as well as various secondary and tertiary packaging configurations. The multipack options that can all be run on this one machine include MWV’s Duodozen, Cluster-Pak and BasketWrap carriers. These multipacks can then be loaded into tertiary shipping packages.

The OneTech2 Combo system, incorporating the company’s Ultima and MiniTech models, offers improved line efficiency through footprint reduction and high flexibility.

Capable of running up to 600 multipacks per minute, the Ultima is said to be the industry’s fastest multiple packaging machine for can-pack wraps. It enables customers to customize their line to run multiple configurations of cartons, including 2-, 3-, 4- and 6-can packs, which are either semi-enclosed or fully enclosed.

The MiniTech solution uses robotic product loading and extends MWV’s portfolio and to offer a fully comprehensive line of beverage packaging systems to cover clients’ needs.

The OneTech2 Combo system has been designed for use with the company’s full range of cartons, including basket, clip and wrap styles, fully enclosed and specialty formats.
