Making Dairy Savory
The word "savory" comes from herbs of the genus Satureja, particularly Satureja hortensis, or summer savory, which is an annual herb, and Satureja montana, or winter savory, a perennial herb. The term has evolved into a reference to foods that are piquant, pungent or salty, as opposed to sweet.

Philadelphia Cracker Spreads
Kraft Foods, Northfield, Ill., tranforms its famous cream cheese into a cracker spread through the addition of savory ingredients. New Philadelphia Cracker Spreads come in a variety of savory blends including Parmesan with Garlic & Herbs, Pepperjack with Jalapeno and White Cheddar with Roasted Red Pepper.

Chef Solutions Heat & Eat Spinach Artichoke Dip

Elki Gourmet Cucumber Wasabi Dip & Spread
In Canada, new Elki Gourmet Cucumber Wasabi Dip & Spread features an innovative combination of cool cucumbers and spicy wasabi, creating a lively dip or spread that is perfect for chips, celery sticks, potato wedges, chicken wings and other finger foods.

17 Delicatessen Hot Cream Cheese
In Greece, Olympus Foods Abee released Hot Cream Cheese under the 17 Delicatessen brand. The cheese base is feta and the reference to hot is a result of the addition of hot green peppers.

Garlic and Herb Philadelphia Cream Cheese
Americans love cream cheese as a dessert filling and bagel topper, but most U.S. consumers may not think of it as an upscale treat. In New Zealand, Kraft has turned Philadelphia Cream Cheese into a gourmet-lovers dream by introducing a garlic and herb variety with a sweet caramelized onion and balsamic sauce.

Lisa's Baby Spinach & Feta
In New Zealand, Lisa's Baby Spinach & Feta has been repackaged and reformulated with black pepper. This rich and creamy dip has a touch of cream cheese, spices and a drizzle of lemon. The product retails in a 200g tub.
