Start Selling it Now
   The healthful halo surrounding tea, particularly green and white, is driving growth of this age-old beverage. However, as Joseph Simrany, president, Tea Association of the U.S.A., Inc., New York, explains, "Ease of preparation has never been a strong selling point for tea and, in a nation that demands convenience, has served to act as a constraint on sales until now. Demand for convenience will continue to drive the market for ready-to-drink (RTD) teas.

Meadow Brook Single-serve Teas
   Meadow Brook, Erie, Pa., a Dean Foods Co., Dallas, is stepping up its efforts in the RTD single-serve tea business. The company now offers many of its multi-serving refrigerated ice teas in Chug-style bottles.

 

Honest Tea
   Keeping with its reputation as an innovator in the beverage industry, Honest Tea, Bethesda, Md., introduces several new products in 2008.

 

Reily Foods Co. Iced Tea
   Reily Foods Co., New Orleans, La., is launching its RTD iced tea line in a 16-oz, pedestal-based, custom PET bottle. The bottle is patterned after the tall graceful columns found in Southern architecture.

 

TeaZazz Sparkling Tea
   TeaZazz Sparkling Tea from TeaZazz, LLC, Valencia, Calif., is the perfect combination of "better-for-you" tea with the sparkling fun of soda.

 

Revolution 3D
   Revolution Tea, Phoenix, introduces a multi-dimensional beverage-Revolution 3D-a first-of-its-kind combination of antioxidant-rich superfruits, multi-vitamins and premium white tea in an all-natural drink.
